The world seems like it is on fire. Nation rises against nation. Political group against political group. Missile against missile. A little while ago, in light of this, a friend reached out to ask what they should pray. I responded with this prayer.
Heavenly Father,
We know you are the God who loves peace. We know Father that all people need the peace of knowing you. Please bring the great gospel peace of knowing you through Christ to those who are at war and have hate in their hearts.
Bring peace to their hearts so they might live your way and no longer kill, hurt and maim. And please raise up people to bring peace and justice between groups and nations. Don’t let evil flourish but let peace prevail for the sake of the weak and innocent and vulnerable.
Please bring that gospel peace through Christ to my heart so that I would live as a person who brings peace in this world.
