How do I know God loves me?

Lots of Christians look to their situation to see if God loves them. If things are going well then God must love them. If things are going badly then God must be angry with them. This is a big mistake!

The Bible tells us that the key to understanding God’s love for us is seen in what God has done for us in Jesus. When we truly understand this we start to see what’s going on in our lives and in the world very differently.

Can I trust the Gospels? Are they reliable?

The Bible has two major parts - the Old Testament and the New Testament. The New Testament starts with the four Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The word gospel means good news, or even better, great good news.

Does it matter how a Christian lives?

Some Christians don’t seem to care how they live. Others seem to be uptight moralists. Does it matter how a Christian lives? The Bible’s answer is absolutely!

Who is the Holy Spirit?

When it comes to the Holy Spirit it seems pretty confusing. There are some churches where the Holy Spirit is supposedly responsible for all sorts of weird stuff. And there are some churches that claim they have a monopoly on the Holy Spirit while other churches are dead.

How did the Old Testament form?

Christians say the Bible is from God! That is a big claim. And a big part of the Bible is the Old Testament. So, how did the Old Testament form? Were those living in ancient times just naive nincompoops who were easily deceived?

What we discover is truly surprising but should give us great confidence. The the Old Testament was formed by the great prophets of God having their words verified as history unfolded.

Why do Christians go to church?

Every Sunday morning Christian trundle off to church? What’s with that? Is it to keep their KPI’s high with God? Is it to make sure other people think they are good? Is it because they hate sleeping in? None of those.
